Thank you for choosing to bring a Magnolia Creek Rabbitry Mini Rex into your home. To ensure the best possible care of our rabbits and for the protection and satisfaction of both parties, we have put the following guidelines in place. All of Magnolia Creek’s sales are conducted in accordance with this sales policy, regardless of whether you, the buyer, have read it or not. Contacting about purchasing a Magnolia Creek Rabbitry’s Mini Rex, means that you are agreeing to this sales policy in its entirety. Please thoroughly read through it and the various articles on our website before contacting us about availability.
General:
-We do not keep a waiting list for rabbits. All sales are done through a first come first serve basis. It is your responsibility as an inquirer to keep in contact with me if you are interested in something in particular.
-I reserve the right to terminate a sale at any time for any reason without explanation.
-I reserve the right to refuse a sale to anyone at anytime if I do not feel comfortable about the potential safety of my rabbits.
-We do not conduct sales with minors without parent permission and we prefer to be in contact with one or both parents if the minor originally inquired.
-The buyer is responsible for properly housing, feeding, and caring for their rabbit. It is important to do as much research as possible before obtaining your rabbit. We have a plethora of articles of all different topics that are and will continue to be added to our website and we are always happy to help answer any questions.
-We assume first right of refusal from every rabbit that leaves our rabbitry. We do not condone the dumping of rabbits into the wilderness or a rescue/shelter. We are always willing to take them back.
-Every rabbit that leaves our barn is healthy at that time. They show no signs of illness or disease. Rabbits do not leave our property unless we know they are 100% healthy.
-We do not sell any rabbits under the age of 8 weeks, no exceptions. Young rabbits can be very fragile during the transitioning phase after being weaned and we want to make sure our rabbits are setup for the most successful life, whether as a pet, show rabbit, or breeding rabbit.
-It is your responsibility to bring a carrier of some sort for your rabbit to ride in on your way back home. Could be something as simple as a card board box or a cat carrier. We will not provide one.
-We operate a semi-closed rabbity. Which means we do not typically allow visitors to the rabbitry. This is for the safety of our rabbits, other animals, as well as ourselves.
-We highly discourage the breeding of rabbits purchased from us as pets. Therefore we recommend spaying or neutering your rabbit once they reach 4 to 6 months of age.
-Getting a rabbit from us comes with lifetime support. Call me or text me at any time if you ever have any questions or issues arise with or about your rabbit from us.
Prices & Payment:
-Prices are firm and nonnegotiable. We are subject to change them at any time without prior notice. To see how we price our rabbits click here.
-Deposits are 50% of the price of the rabbit. The deposit is not an extra fee, it is taken into account of the total price of the rabbit.
-We do not hold rabbits without a nonrefundable deposit. Simply inquiring on a rabbit does not put it on hold for you. This deposit typically holds the rabbit for 7 days unless other arrangements have been discussed and have been agreed upon by myself, the owner of Magnolia Creek Rabbitry. A rabbit is only considered “sold” once paid in full.
-Deposits are also not transferable to a different rabbit. If you choose one rabbit and place a deposit on that rabbit but then decide to get a different rabbit you will forfeit the deposit for the original rabbit and have to pay another for the newly chosen one.
-We only accept payments in the form of cash, Venmo, and PayPal. We do not accept any other methods of payment. All PayPal payments should be sent through friends and family unless the buyer pays the 3% processing fee that occurs with paying through the goods and services option.
-Final payment must be in exact cash. We do not have change and so any amount over what is owed will be kept by us, so make sure you bring the exact amount you are required to pay.
-We do not allow any rabbit to leave our hands until it is paid in full.
Refunds & Exchanges:
-Refunds and exchanges are offered on a very limited basis under the following guidelines:
1.) The rabbit dies while still under my care.
2.) I cannot meet the transporter that was originally decided on. This is only for the price of the rabbit, I am not responsible for transport costs.
3.) The rabbit dies within 24 hours of the time of sale and a vet autopsy has proven the rabbit was sick before it left my hands. The autopsy cost is the buyers responsibility and the breeder is not liable for any costs incurred to have this done.
4.) Your rabbit ends up being the opposite gender than what it was sold as. Although we consider ourselves very much educated about rabbits every once in awhile a rabbit can be misgendered.
-Other than the above guidelines, we do not offer refunds or exchanges. These guidelines can also be changed at any time under our discretion without notification to buyers.
-We do accept our rabbits back that were sold to pet homes but we do not give refunds or exchange them for another rabbit. We do buy back brood and show rabbits on occasion.
-If the rabbit is not picked up within 24 hours of the specified date we the seller and you the buyer have agreed upon, the rabbit will go back up for sale and deposit will not be sent back.
-We are not responsible for any costs incurred after the rabbit leaves our hands.
Health, Quality, & Guarantee:
-As stated before our rabbits are 100% healthy to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale. At your request we can and will perform a full health check on your bunny in your presence before handing the rabbit to you.
-Any rabbit showing an outward sign of illness or infection will not leave our rabbitry until 100% back to normal.
-We handle our rabbits on a daily basis. Therefore, our rabbits are extremely social. We do not let go of rabbits that show signs of aggression. Remember that rabbits can become moody as their hormones develop. Your rabbit may be shy at first as that is normal behavior when introduced to a strange, new environment.
-When we offer animals to breeding or show homes, we believe the animal closely follows the breed standard and we would use them in our breeding program or exhibit the rabbit under our name.
-All known faults and disqualifications that we are aware of will be discussed with interested parties.
-All of our brood and show quality animals will be offered with a pedigree if applicable. We are very busy, so patience is greatly appreciated with getting your pedigrees that we owe out to you.
-Pet quality animals are not sold with pedigrees. A birth certificate will be provided upon request within a reasonable time from pickup via text or email.
-We do not guarantee any success with the rabbits from us, proven or not. This applies in breeding as well as on the show table.
-Rabbits offered as proven have successfully raised or produced a litter for us.
Pick-Up/Transport:
-Pick ups for rabbits will be scheduled around my busy schedule.
-We sometimes allow pickups at the rabbity but most pickups are done somewhere public around our town. We also sometimes meet buyers at our workplace whenever necessary.
-We do not deliver rabbits to your home. This is for our safety and we also do not have time to do so.
-Pick ups can be arranged in nearby cities but we typically do not go out of our way to meet unless we are traveling somewhere for another reason and you are able to meet us along our trip.
-We will wait at the designated meeting place for up to 15 minutes after the original time set. If you do not show up within the time or communicate with us about being late we will leave, the rabbit will go back up for sale, and you will not get your deposit back.
-Your rabbit must be safely transported back to your home. If we see the rabbit is not being treated correctly, we will not allow the rabbit to go home with you.
-We work with a very selected few transporters. Every transporter must be approved by us before we allow our rabbits to travel with them.
-Any costs incurred with transport is your responsibility
-We will do our best to be flexible in meeting with a transporter but we also expect them to be reasonable about sticking to their schedule.
-We do work with shipping via airline on a limited basis. All costs are you, the buyers, responsibility.
